The story begins in Germany, where a ruthless dictator named Adolf Hitler comes to power. As he takes over Europe, millions of people pray for salvation. Almost as one voice they pray for the Messiah to come. In 1940 their prayers are answered. A baby named John Lennon is born, and over the next twenty years, he prepares for his mission by working toward obtaining the fame he will need more than anything else in order to spread his message – the message of love and peace. At the very peak of his success he meets a man who will help him with his quest, a boxer named Cassius Clay. Clay has also been working toward gaining fame so he can spread his own message – the message of equal rights. Days after their meeting, Clay changes his name to Muhammad Ali and begins to tell the world about his beliefs. Separately and together these two powerful people work toward their ultimate goals. Help arrives in the form of a Harvard professor named Timothy Leary, who has a secret weapon that will be able to spread the message of peace more quickly than anything else ever, a drug that has the capability to change people’s mindset from hate to love.
